This comes just a day
after K’Ogalo lost their fourth straight match in all competitions after going
down 2-0 to Ulinzi Stars.
It was Gor Mahia’s third defeat in the league, having succumbed 2-1 to Bandari and by a solitary goal to relegation bound Thika United.
The situation at
Kenyan champions Gor Mahia is
becoming messy after four players handed in release letters to quit the giants.
A source within the
club has hinted that captain Harun Shakava is among the
four players, who have shown their desire to quit the club at the end of the
season. “As we speak, four players have handed in their transfer requests, and
the same letters have already reached the club chairman.” It is assumed the other three players
include defender Charles Momanyi, midfielder Humphrey Mieno and Francis Kahata.
“They are fed up, they are not ready to continue suffering, they have made a
decision and it is now upon the club to act accordingly.”
When reached for
comment, Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr denied knowledge of the players’ asking to
ditch K’Ogalo. “You are telling me something that I don’t
understand and I honestly haven’t heard anything to do with any letters.”
On Wednesday after the
match against Ulinzi Stars, Gor Mahia players were given
Sh15, 000 by the Team
Manager that was shared amongst the players.
