Its so sad that doctors are still on strike and the normal mwananchi is on the receiving end. It happened yesterday when a mother "Nyevu" not her really name was in deep labour when she was taken to Pwani Maternity Private Hospital in kilifi.
During the admission her family members were asked to give out Kshs.30,000 as charges before delivery. After consulting each other they were not in a position to raise the amount there is when they were asked to take their patient away. They took mama Nyevu home where she safely delivered twins but due to no modern attendancy she hoovered in deep pains and she lost alot of blood where she fainted. She was rushed to the same hospital for treatment but alas, she died at the doorstep of the hospital.
The same Kenya where Mama Nyevu used to pay tax everyday, she dies in pain without any major and proper treatment. This is violation of the constitution.
