A pick pocketer is taught a lesson by TUM Comrades after walking away with their phone. His house is set ablaze in Kiziwi, Tudor.

Yesternight a number of comrades torched a house in Kiziwi, it is believed that one of the students' phone had been snatched by a delinquent villager. And with the help of Mzee Wa Mtaa they were able to locate the culprit's premises.

Angry comrades decided to teach the thug a lesson by torching his house. Cases of insecurity are slowly creeping back after dealing with one #Nasoro who was a renowned threat to comrades.

If allowed to opine, I totally stand against anything that threatens the peace of comrades and will always champion for a conducive  environment for them, but my greatest fear is that one day we may lose innocent lives from these misunderstandings be it a villager (resident) or a student.

I believe it is high time for the administration through the Dean and the local leadership organise a number of CSR initiatives. This will help restore tranquility between the students and the locals.

If this is ignored,  comrades way of handling issues is usually very messy, explosive and instantaneous and involves a number of casualties.

The president of students wrote the following letter:

COMRADES' SECURITY FIRST.

I was not amused with the incident that took a centre stage yesterday when I was called in late hours and informed that one of the thug from Kiziwi slum snatched a phone from a comrade.
It is sad and uncalled for I therefore, condemn it with the strongest words possible.Technical University of Mombasa is a gift and a property to the people of Mombasa county and the Tudor community therefore we shall not allow and we will not condone any form of thuggerism from slum dwellers that will make the of any comrade miserable!

I wish also to remind any ill mannered slum dweller that comrades are capable of dislocating them from where they are today anytime anyday and our love for peace must not be mistaken for cowardness. We dont want to solve the situation the comrade way because when that is employed,it will be messy and there will be a lot of casualties.

I therefore, wish to urged the administration through Dean of student Joel Oluoch to get in touch with the local leadership led by our able  area MCA Hon Tobias Samba and move with speedy to ensure that a long lasting solution is found and good rapport between comrades and the Kiziwi slum dwellers is reinstated or we solve it the comrade way.

I need to thank comrades who rushed to the scene today to restore order  in a peaceful and an amicable manner but let them be warned that next time we will do it the comrades way and it will be messy .

Finally ,I wish all the comrades that are still proceeding with their exams the best of luck. Those traveling home after finishing their papers on Friday last week,I wish them Journey mercies .Asante kwa kudumisha amani.
