During his first session in office, Mvurya was the man who was celebrated by many due to his stands and push for immediate change in his county. His name came into light when he ditched ODM and joined Jubilee (the ruling party).
During his tenor, the wave for campaigns did not affect him for ditching the opposition as his work on the ground shouted for him. His people had no objection but take him back to office. He emerged the winner during the August elections just to finish what he had started.
Being a leader, he spearheads for a better education for the youths. He has been in the front line issuing bursaries for students and from it many have managed to meet their fees through his office.
Being known for his quest for developments, some disturbing pictures recently were revealed of a certain school in Matuga constituency that made the public raise their concern. The school in question is Kizimbani Primary in Mkongani Ward where the school has no permanent buildings, no desks, its just in a mess.

The school and the community is now calling upon Governor Salim Mvurya to pay them a courtesy visit and agree with them the way forward.
